Cliff [All the REAL hardcore Gears players] PLEASE READ. Multiplay has a HUGE problem

Introduction
The majority of us who played the ORIGINAL Gears of War (from its launch all the way until the night before the launch of GOW2) are the most faithful fans of the game. While everyone else turned in copies they owned after a few months of playing online we continued to play and play away. We developed even more strategic was to play the game including but not limited to Wall Bouncing or Spread Attacking.

Problem
I can understand those who are not skilled complaining about being gunned downed by people just running around with the Shotgun. IT SEEMED as if the problem was fixed with the introduction of stopped power from the lancer. But to take it a HUGE step further you guys just killed the Shotgun all together. Its slow, and useless. Correct me if im wrong, but that thing is MENT for close quaters battles. Well guess what? Now all people do is get close to you and chainsaw and there's nothing you can do about it.

Wanna escape? You can't, they'll walk right through your shotgun and chainsaw you.

I keep seeing.. Oh now you have to more than one weapon (refering to the chainsaw). Gears 1 we DID use more than one weapon. The Lancer was our long range weapon in clan matches to keep the opponents at BAY. If they wanted to run out the risked being down or taken out by a good sniper.. BUT if they got close The shotgun (close quaters weapon) handled them perfectly. But no more.

What I saw last night was incredible boring. People running all over the place during submission and chainsawing. Thats not fun its boring. During execution its run around and chainsaw.

Keep the over powered chainsaw, thats fine. I don't care, but give me back my counter weapon please.

GIVE ME BACK THE SHOTGUN. Not this random, slow shooting useless crap that I have now. You can't even tell if you shoot the person because there is no blood splashing from the body! There are no more super cool body explosions... It just ISN'T GEARS.



...Awaits all the new people to Gears who used to get destroyed by the shotty and are loving the chainsaw fest, ready to flame me.

EXACTLY. Its pure crap. Like.. this guy is coming at me with a chainsaw and I can't even stop him!

And another thing.. Wy does my dude feel like he's moving a bit slower? I can't dodge and juke away with perfection like I use to.

Yea it is a bit ridiculous when you shoot them with your shotgun up close and they can just keep charging at you with it revved up.

im fairly new to gears online but playing last night i couldnt hit sh1t with the shotty, i think the only kill i got with it was some dude in the back..

And then somehow they seem to magnetise the final 5 feet towards you and before you know it the metal teeth are slicing through your meat and your finished.

why would they do this to a weapon just because people liked to use it in the first one
