Unknown Assult rifle!?!?!?

well i got tried of seeing this weapon everywere, and since we have been getting lil bits of info (alot lately, thanks to Zoso and me), and since we have gotten some cool info about weapons, i finally decided to make a thread about this Gun, that we know nothing about yet it has been in marcus' hands since e3 2005! so here it is

btw, i am pretty sure this is a locust gun, b/c i have seen a couple pics with locusts holding it, and it just seems like a locusts gun

well we know nothing about it, and maybe EPIC just changed it into another gun or took it out of the game, since these pics are pretty early in development, i hope its one of the weapons EPIC has not told us about and that it is in the game, and it may be the equivilent to the COG's lancer, b/c we are not sure if the Locusts's hammerburst is the "Assult rifle equivelent" to the Lancer, well, it might be

so they could have replaced this "unknown gun" with the Hammerburst, or this could be the "real" main weapon (like the lancer is to the COG) for the locusts

O well, what do u guys think?!!?

I'm fairly certain that it's the sniper rifle. It has what appears to be a scope and its a longer gun. I'm not 100% but that would be my guess.

it could be a sniper, but i doubt it, it looks like an assult rifle and the COGs sniper looks totally different, it has a blue scope and is shaped differently, so it could be the Locusts sniper, but i doubt that, im not sure though

well this is definatly not a COG weapon, b/c it doesnt look like the standard COG style, and it has no lil blue glowing things, lol, and the COGs already have a sniper that looks alot different, so this could be a Locusts sniper but i am leaning more to a Locust SMG or Assult rifle, still not sure about anything though

yeah it had a scope but that doesnt mean its a sniper, lots of weapons of scopes, but it could be a locust sniper(pretty sure its not a COG sniper, look at my posts above), maybe....

If it is a sniper rifle, it would have to be a second one. Maybe the blue scope one is COG and this one is locust (vise versa?) But it seems strange that the locust in the picture would use it close range (along with marcus in the other picture...)

yeah, thats what i was thinking, so maybe it is some kind of automatic weapon like maybe a Locust SMG or Assult rifle, and i think Zoso is right, b/c thats not the way most ppl would hold a sniper, well im not sure, but i dont think the snipers would just be walking around like that, it seems more like an assult rifle with scope
