All my saves and checkpoints gone.

Shut my computer down last night, turned it on this morning, all my saves are now gone. Even all of my configurations on controls and everything are gone as well.

You guys in that big a hurry that you had to rush this game out of the studio?

This happened to me, too. I was going along fine until I found out all my progress disappeared.

I find this really dumb, considering I'm using the 169.04 drivers designed to run Crysis, which comes out in a week. This needs to be patched so that any of the newer drivers BEYOND 163.44 work and not cause campaign progress loss.

Or, at the very least, I need to find out how to back up the progress in a different folder so I can Cut & Paste back into whatever folder is needed.

Well since their idiots as been proven by this bugfest, they among the rest of the idiots don't store the saves in teh folder of the game. It's on the C: reguardless where you install your game.

C:\Documents and Settings\namehere\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Checkpoints

I also have this issue, i restarted the computer and when i went into gears i found my saves were gone, very annoying are there any solutions?

those warnings are just plain stupid, can someone seriously explain what the hell should a graphic card driver have to do with savegames ? the same for that amd cpu driver "suggestion" , just plain ridicolous, newer heard of such a thing in 15 year of pc gaming.

btw, no quick saves /load either, this feels indeed more and more like a proper pc game !
no cheap port, for sure ...

and why must this windowslive crap infiltrate on everything ! you wanna play online, ok sign in for silver or gold or whatever, you just want to enjoy first or just the sp alone instead, then just create a profile and SAVE it like all other games! jesus ....

EDIT: heres summut interesint even though there are no checkpoint saves in the folder when i open the game and loaded my last checkpoint it loaded without any problems

that s the strange thing, folder _ C:\Documents and Settings\namehere\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Checkpoints _ is always empty even when the saves are working.
save system is just screwed
How difficult is that to have a working savesystem Epic / People can fly / windows???
