the only thing i hate is the stopping power, wich got way worse.
if i slide to something while being shot by a lancer i start lagging hard and get down becaus of that lag. it really sucks. and the wird thing is, if you get shot in the back you also slow down. i dont get that.

The problem is that this forum is full of people who hates the way people wants to play this game, they seem to forgot this is not a fps game and no other game has the fast-paced close quarters system that gears has, im not even too good with the shotgun cuz it has their tricks and I respect people that are good with it, is too easy for me to just sit back on cover and shoot people down over and over again, im getting more than 2000 points per execution match easily just downing people without even been host once, so in gears 1 it was a shotgun fest, then in gears 2 a hammer fest now is a lancer fest, stick to the most powerful starting weapon it's getting boring.

Ok, what game are some of you playing? What is with this talk about the lack or loss of shottie battles? They happen all the time, the classic tactics are still there, I can still wallbounce. I used to primarily use my shottie, guess what? I still do primarily use my shottie and it works just fine.
So now the lancer and HB are more used, so what? Instead of charging with my shottie up against a lancer I now have to out think that person and flank them. All this did was add more strategy and that is never a bad thing! I love what tactical did to this game. But anybody who *****es about the shottie needs to seriously either play more or play better cause you can do the same stuff!

Right. Anyone who thinks people don't like this event because they can only use a shotgun read this, I'm sick and tired of repeating this.
We use the shotgun because is fun. We don't enjoy sitting behind a god damn rock lancering. It's boring...

Word of advice, don't force your opinion on others and respect what other people do or don't like, just because you like the lancer (Example), but other people don't, doesn't make them a shotgun noob. Some people play the game for fun, so don't be ignorant.

I love the usefulness of the rifles now. I love being able to be smart about moving through cover. Pressing fire, flanking, closing the gap. I love it. It's awesome.
For those complaining about the shotgun fest not being there... it's still there and the shotgunners go at it and they fight like idiots because they refuse to adjust to a gameplay tweak for 9 days.
I love being smart about closing the gap. Hiding through cover. I've gotten full use of all the cover mechanics. Pressing Fire is so important now. It's great. Good Job Epic.

they shouldnt call this tactical, its no where near tactical. in my dictionary it says tactical means, "of or pertaining to military or skilled tactics". i would like someone to explain to me how having a few lancer shots down you is either tactical or skilled. is it skillful to hit someone with a few shots or many? is it more tactical to just hold your right trigger down, or to run out and get into a shotty battle? after this update ive noticed all the noobs have come out of their little caves and are now responding to these threads because they love downing someone across the map in 2 seconds.

The new damage makes the game more tactical because making brash moves and acting like an idiot gets you killed now. I love it.
