SPMA kill reminder for new players.

The spma throws this "drone thing" (i cant remember the name atm) so u can see from above your targets.You can shoot it down easily...but....if you lock an avril at it the avril will reach the "drone" and then lock to the spma itself n kill it even if its not at your line of sight.

Some guys don't know it so..

Y'know, I've known this since 2k4, but I've had some real trouble with this lately (against bots) -- just not getting any lock signal at all on the SPMA_Camera -- so a couple questions:

(1) Is there a range limit on the lock-on? I think I've had this problem with raptors but i've never been sure. I know I can't do it from the beach / blue base area on Stranded, though they can sure hit me ^_^.

(2) Is the eradicator immune to this? I couldn't find anything in the uc source to suggest it.

(3) Do the bots cheat with this? I know I saw something about the bot's controller returning to the SPMA while the camera continues to function as an independant targeting AI ... (or something like that, it twas a while ago) ... but I couldn't determine if that would affect avril locks.

I like to sit in the spma with an avril loaded, you can drink a beer and hit stuff. Wah! Pretty sure that other thing is "line of sight". Dunno 'bout bots, they're crazy. Cheers!

yes, because in the weapon code the life span for avil is 7 sec, so after that it blows up

I hate it when the avril almost gets to the camera, then some noob shoots it down.
